Let’s Wreck It! Or Fix-it!

This article is long overdue. I’ve been wanting to write a small article on this movie as soon as possible but kept forgetting. I finally remembered! Remind notes rules! So do apps that remind you of stuff! Anyway, let’s take a small look at this nice little movie that Disney prepared for us. It’s apparently their 52nd movie, which is pretty cool, and they’ve adopted a game theme. Before you hardcore gamers get excited, I must tell you that it’s focused on arcade games. Not your hi-fi games.Well, except for Hero’s Duty, of course. You don’t know Hero’s Duty? Why, you disgrace! Just kidding, of course, it’s this really awesome game in the movie that, in my opinion, would be epic if made into a real console game.

The main players! literally!

So let’s get into a little bit of the story. You know that feeling when you are just tired of being the bad guy and being dumped on the mud from a rooftop? Until you can’t take it anymore and you just run out of your game to earn a medal? No? Well, that’s almost the whole sad truth of Ralph’s life. See, he’s this “bad guy” in a game called Fix it Felix Jr. and he’s the guy who has to wreck stuff which this goody two shoes, Felix Jr, fixes with the help of his magic hammer, gifted to him by his father. Easy, right? Yup. Meanwhile, Ralph needs to use his hands to break a building and then sleep in a dump of bricks with a tree stump as a pillow. That’s rough. And I thought my bed was hard.

So, when poor Ralph finally tries to mingle with the people whose house he tries to destroy everyday, they reject him and tell him that he can’t earn a medal like goody goody Felix Jr does. So, he does what every regular villan would. Jumps to a different game to earn one, even if it means disrupting the whole arcade.

Oh wait. That’s NOT what a normal villan does.

He somehow manages to take an evil drone of of “Hero’s Duty” and crash it into “Candy Crush”  and wrecks more havoc than Ralph ever could in his game. So much so, that Candy Crush could be destroyed.

Woah. Look at those muscles.

It’s a typical evil guy, good guy, bad guy turning good guy movie but has a nice twist in it. Plus, it might make you relate to it. You know, in the fictional, game character kind of way. Either way, it was a decent watch and has Mentos falling in diet coke in it, so, you know, it’s awesome.  Ralph’s a pretty good guy who isn’t so bad.

Check it out and tell me what you think of it. If you liked/ already like it, maybe those like, follow, reblog and share options would get a little love? They’re awful lonely right now. Thanks guys. See you later.
